When Is a Bail Bond Exonerated?
A defendant will receive all of their collateral back if they are exonerated from their bail bond. In order to achieve this exoneration, you must do the following.
- Attend all court hearings
- Obey travel restrictions or curfews
- Attend drug abuse classes or physiological treatments if required
- Finish paying off the bail bond
Basically, if the defendant does what he or she has agreed to, then he or she will be exonerated from the bail bond.
Anything that was used as collateral, if it was required, will be given back.
